The Daihatsu Hijet S100V and S110V are compact Japanese kei vans and a great option for importing into Australia. Like the Honda Acty, Subaru Sambar and Suzuki Carry, they combine tiny dimensions, practical utility and unmistakable JDM character.
Powered by a 660cc three-cylinder engine, these vans are exceptionally small and manoeuvrable while offering surprising interior space. The S100V is the 2WD model, while the S110V features 4WD, making it more versatile for rural use, camping and recreation.
Their boxy shape makes them particularly practical, and many are now being converted into mini campers, with sleeping platforms, storage and compact camping setups. Their compact size also makes them easy to drive and park while retaining useful cargo space.
