The Mazda RX-7 FC3S is one of the most iconic Japanese sports cars of the 1980s and early 1990s, combining lightweight construction, rear-wheel drive and Mazda’s legendary rotary engine. Its unmistakable pop-up headlights and 1980s styling have earned it a huge worldwide following, further boosted by its appearance in Initial D.
The FC3S is powered by Mazda’s 13B turbocharged rotary engine, delivering strong performance in a lightweight package. Turbo models were offered exclusively with a manual transmission, adding to their appeal among driving enthusiasts. Its low centre of gravity, rear-wheel-drive layout and responsive chassis make it engaging on the road and highly capable on track.
The FC3S was offered in several factory specifications, including performance-focused GT-X and GT-R variants. At the top of the range sits the particularly elusive Infini, a limited-production specification with exclusive equipment and styling that has become highly sought after by collectors.
