About Toyota Chaser:
The Toyota Chaser JZX100 is a true hero car of the 1990s JDM era, with a huge cult following among enthusiasts, street drivers and drift fans. Its aggressive styling, rear-wheel-drive layout, long-wheelbase proportions and legendary 1JZ power made it one of the most iconic chassis for drift and performance street cars.
Avante G — Luxury-focused, naturally aspirated specification, with JZX101 and JZX105 versions offering 3.0L 2JZ-GE and AWD respectively.
Tourer S — Naturally aspirated 2.5L 1JZ-GE sports model with a more performance-focused character.
Tourer V — The flagship performance model, powered by the 2.5L turbocharged 1JZ-GTE, available with manual or automatic transmission.
The highly desirable facelift was introduced in August 1998, bringing updated styling and distinctive revised rear lights that give the later Chaser an even sharper appearance.
The JZX100 chassis was shared with the Toyota Mark II and Toyota Cresta, creating a family of iconic 1990s Toyota performance sedans. The platform also benefits from huge global aftermarket support, covering engine, drivetrain, suspension, body and performance upgrades.
Adding to the appeal are the rare factory TRD Sports variants, which received dedicated TRD exterior equipment including a specific front bumper and large rear spoiler.
The Chaser has developed a massive international following, particularly within drift and JDM communities. Today, clean, original examples are becoming highly collectible worldwide, with desirable Tourer V and rare TRD examples commanding significant prices.
With its 1JZ power, RWD chassis, aggressive 1990s styling and legendary drift reputation, the JZX100 Chaser remains one of the defining Japanese performance cars of its generation.
