The Honda Accord CL1 Euro R is a highly desirable JDM performance sedan, combining Honda’s high-revving VTEC character with the comfort and practicality of a four-door Accord. Now becoming increasingly rare, eligible examples can also qualify for classic or club registration schemes in some Australian states, subject to local requirements.
At its heart is Honda’s naturally aspirated H22A Euro R engine, paired with a close-ratio 5-speed manual and factory LSD. The combination delivers strong mid-range torque, a high-revving top end and the engaging, mechanical feel that makes classic Honda performance cars so desirable.
The Euro R receives a range of factory upgrades over the standard Accord, including Recaro sports seats, a MOMO steering wheel, sportier suspension and steering calibration, plus unique Euro R exterior styling. Its understated appearance keeps the car low-key in everyday traffic while retaining genuine performance credentials.
