About Suzuki Alto Works:
The Suzuki Alto Works HA21S and HA22S are iconic Japanese kei performance cars, combining the character of a hot hatch with the lightweight feel of a go-kart. Built around Japan’s kei-car regulations, they are tiny, light and surprisingly capable.
The HA21S and HA22S are front-wheel drive, while AWD was available on the earlier Alto Works series under the HB21S designation. This gives buyers a choice between lightweight FWD simplicity and the added traction of the earlier AWD models.
The HA22S is the later facelift, with updated styling that is most easily identified by its different headlight design. Turbocharged engines and manual or automatic transmissions were offered depending on specification.
With aggressive styling, compact dimensions and genuine kei-car character, the Alto Works has become a cult favourite among JDM enthusiasts — offering a unique blend of hot-hatch practicality, go-kart-like handling and turbocharged fun.
