About Subaru Legacy Wagon:

The Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon BRG combines strong turbocharged performance with the space and comfort of a five-seat wagon. Its understated styling, generous cabin and all-wheel drive make it an appealing Japanese import for Australian buyers who want an enjoyable everyday car with room for family, luggage and weekend trips.

Introduced in Japan in May 2012, the BRG is the 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo version of the fifth-generation Legacy Touring Wagon. Its FA20 boxer engine produces 300 PS (221 kW) and 400 Nm, with maximum torque available from 2,000–4,800 rpm. That broad torque range gives it useful flexibility for everyday driving and longer journeys.

All BRG models use Subaru’s high-torque Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission, paired with VTD all-wheel drive. SI-DRIVE lets the driver select different response settings, while Sport Sharp mode provides eight simulated gear steps for a more involved driving experience.

Variants to know

2.0GT DIT — The core BRG model, offering the full 300 PS turbocharged drivetrain, dedicated suspension tuning and 18-inch alloy wheels. Blue stitching and DIT-specific details give the cabin a subtle sporting character. DIT stands for Direct Injection Turbo.

2.0GT DIT EyeSight — Adds Subaru’s EyeSight version 2 driver assistance system, including adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and lane departure warnings. It retains the same engine output and transmission as the regular DIT.

2.0GT DIT EyeSight Premium Leather Selection — A special edition with a more luxurious finish. Distinctive features include light-coloured leather seats with blue stitching and piping, satin-finish door mirrors, high-lustre 18-inch wheels and exclusive interior trim.

2.0GT DIT spec.B EyeSight — A later special edition with a darker sporting appearance. It features black-and-machined 18-inch wheels, black door mirrors, a black headlining and pillar trim, and silver carbon-look interior accents. It retains the same 300 PS engine, with its appeal centred on styling and equipment.

The BRG’s combination of wagon practicality and turbo performance makes it a versatile choice for importing from Japan into Australia. Whether you prefer the straightforward 2.0GT DIT, the convenience of EyeSight or the distinctive finish of a special edition, Fukasawa Car Imports can help source an eligible Subaru Legacy wagon that suits your preferences and budget.
